Press release regarding INS Trishul.

As part of the Indian Navy’s long range deployment, “INS Trishul” visited Comoros from 31 May to 02 June 2023 and was anchored off Anjouan Island. Commanding Officer Captain Kapil Kaushik called on senior Local government officials of Anjouan Island. Professional interactions with Comoros Armed Forces and Comoros Coast Guard, sports fixtures and a joint Yoga session with Comoros Defence forces were undertaken during the ship visit. 

A training workshop on On-board Maintenance was conducted for the Comorian Coast Guard personnel. Repairs of communication equipment for the Port Control were also undertaken during the Ship Visit.

The ship conducted a medical outreach camp for about 500 people in Anjouan. 

The port call of “INS Trishul” to Comoros reflects India’s commitment to bolstering bilateral ties and reinforcing maritime security cooperation with Comoros, as part of Vision SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region).
