Celebration of Hindi Diwas on 14th September, 2023

'Hindi Diwas' was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Embassy on 14th September, 2023. In the program organized in the Embassy, many cultural activities were carried out by the Malagasy students who are learning Hindi language at the Embassy. They performed Hindi skits and Hindi poems were recited.

In his address, Ambassador conveyed his best wishes to everyone on Hindi Diwas. He said that, "Hindi is the most spoken language in the world. More than 60 crore people in the world speak Hindi. Hindi is a reflection of our culture and traditions and helps us stay connected to our roots. Hindi is a simple language. The simplicity, seriousness and sensitivity of Hindi attracts us. Hindi is a symbol of our unity and binds Indians together and provides a collective identity. Therefore, it is our duty to expand and respect Hindi."

More than 50 people including leaders of Indian Community and friends of India attended the program. At the end of the event, local Hindi students were rewarded with the gifts. A special Millets exhibition was showcased on the side lines of the event.
