Celebration of Bapu@150

         Mahatma Gandhi, fondly called ‘Bapu’ (father), the Father of the Indian nation would be 150 years on 2^nd October, 2018.  India would be celebrating the 150^th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi from 2^nd October, 2018 with a series of activities for the next one year. The Embassy of India in Antananarivo would be joining in with the celebration. To begin, the Embassy is organising a display of pictures / photographs related to important events from Bapu’s life as well as his messages which are relevant in the contemporary world, at La City Center, Antananarivo beginning 2nd October, 2018 till 12 October, 2018. 

         A live performance on the Gujarati Bhajan “Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je..”, which was also the favourite hymn of Bapu, will be done by the renowned Malagasy singer and composer Benja Gazy along with his group at La City Center, Antananarivo on 2^nd October, 2018.

         The Embassy is also organising an LED projection of the various life events of Mahatma Gandhi on Groupe Sipromad tower, the tallest building of Madagascar on 2^nd October, 2018 from 6.30 to 9.30 p.m. 

         These are being organised with the support of the SMTP Groupe and Groupe Sipromad.

The display of pictures at La City Centre and LED projection at Groupe Sipromad Towers are open to public and we solicite your presence to make the celebration Bapu@150 a grand success.

Célébration de Bapu @ 150

Mahatma Gandhi, appelé affectueusement «Bapu» (père), le Père de la Nation indienne, aurait 150 ans le 2 Octobre 2018. L’Inde célébrera le 150e Anniversaire de Mahatma Gandhi à partir du 2 Octobre 2018 avec une série d’activités pour l’ année prochaine. L'Ambassade de l'Inde à Antananarivo se joindra à la célébration. Pour commencer, l’Ambassade organise une exposition de photos / photographies relatives aux événements importants de la vie de Bapu ainsi que ses messages qui sont dignes d’intérêts dans le monde contemporain, à La City Center,  Antananarivo, du 2 Octobre 2018 au 12 Octobre 2018.

Le célèbre chanteur et compositeur malgache Benja Gazy et son groupe se produiront à La City Center lors d’un concert live sur le Gujarati Bhajan «Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Je ..» le 2 Octobre 2018.

L'Ambassade organise également une projection LED des différents événements de la vie de Mahatma Gandhi  le 2 Octobre 2018 de 18h30 à 21h30 sur la Tour du Groupe Sipromad, le plus haut bâtiment de Madagascar.

Ces évènements sont organisés avec le soutien du Groupe SMTP et du Groupe Sipromad.

L'exposition de photos à La City ainsi que la projection LED sur la Tour du Groupe Sipromad sont ouvertes au public et votre présence sera la bienvenue pour faire de cette célébration Bapu @ 150 un grand succès.
