Capacity Building Programme on International Business, conducted by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade – India, 24-28 february 2014

               

Three faculty members from Indian  Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) – India, will be conducting a Capacity  Building Programme on International Business, in Madagascar, from 24-28 February  2014.

               

The aim of the programme  is to develop required skills and professional competency among entrepreneurs,  government officials, professionals and corporate executives in African  countries which includes the following:

               

-           Enhance  awareness about international business environment

               

-           Help  develop international marketing strategies among the stake holders

               

-           Develop  an understanding about export-import procedures and documentation

               

-           Understand  the international trade logistics and supply chain management

               

-           Increase  proficiency in issues related to international business and trade diplomacy

               

-           Enhance  overall skills and competency in international business among the participants.

               

Indian Institute of  Foreign Trade was established by Government of India in 1963. It is one of the  premier institutes in the area of International Business. The Institute offers  long-term educational programmes such as Ph.D Programme, MBA(International  Business), Post Graduate Diploma in International Business etc. It also conducts  a two year MBA Programme in International Business at Dar-es-Salaam in  collaboration with Institute of Finance Management (IFM), Tanzania.

               

As part of decisions taken at  India Africa Forum Summit on 8-9 April 2008, the IIFT  has been entrusted the responsibility to  conduct customized Capacity Building Programmes on International Business by  Department of Commerce, Government of India over a period of five years in  various parts of Africa.
